Frequently Asked Questions

Everything investors and partners usually ask us — from operations and market strategy to returns and risk.

Project & Operations

We are reviving a proven hydroponic & protected-cultivation farm at Edaiyarpakkam (TN), moving to a premium crop mix: English cucumber, microgreens, leafy greens, and Lakadong turmeric, with traceability and B2B-first distribution.

The farm is at Edaiyarpakkam, Tamil Nadu. It operated successfully before a cyclone event; refurbishment (cladding, fertigation, benches, electricals) is planned immediately post-investment.

  • English cucumber (core hydroponic line)
  • Microgreens (daily harvest & dispatch)
  • Leafy greens (supplementary, high-turn)
  • Lakadong turmeric (premium, nursery-to-field program)

Protected cultivation, fertigation automation, batch testing (residues/curcumin for Lakadong), and staggered cycles enable 365-day supply with consistent grading and freshness.

Investment & Financials

We are raising ~₹3.0 Cr for refurbishment, crop inputs, nursery setup, and working capital. We are flexible between equity and/or investor debt; final terms are negotiated per investor.

Aligned with our financials: microgreens revenue from Day-30, vegetables stabilise by Month-6, first Lakadong cheque ~Month-7, and steady-state revenue ~₹5.2 Cr/year from Year-3 in the base case. Exit and distributions are discussed individually.

We prioritize capital efficiency (existing infra), diversified crop mix, strong B2B channels, and policy tailwinds. Instruments (equity, CCDs, revenue-share) can be structured to match investor risk appetite.

Market & Sales

B2B-first: quick-commerce & modern retail for vegetables; APEDA/Spices Board aligned buyers for Lakadong turmeric (domestic premium + export).

  • Existing infrastructure → faster restart, lower capex/ton
  • Balanced portfolio: cash-flow veg + high-value Lakadong
  • Traceability & testing to meet modern trade/ex-requirements

Risk & Sustainability

Pre-cyclone, the farm ran well. Post-cyclone degradation requires refurbishment (polyhouse cladding, fertigation, benches, power). The plan is a 0–3 month refurb, then quick crop ramp-up.

  • Hydroponics (lower water footprint) + rainwater reuse
  • Solar-assisted power; hygienic grading & packing
  • Batch testing for residues & curcumin (Lakadong)
  • Organic certification roadmap post-restoration
